Nefarian dead!

I believe this boss took us longer than any boss before. We had the mechanics of the fight down several weeks ago, but not wiping in those last 30% or so was proving a real challenge (in the 10 man version anyway). Not to mention the troubles we've had forming a raid sometimes, though that again seems to be a thing of the past. Welcome new recruits :)
It was by no means a clean kill ... we had a mere three people standing alive when he dropped. So three cheers for Evasion tanking!
Finally, the loot: Hawkwind got the [Helm of the Forlong Conquerer], Wildmen got the [Shadow of Dread], and Tenebrael got the [Rage of Ages]. Not the best loot, but we were there for the kill, not the loot.
Lack of updates?!? Well, here's one.

Ah yeah, there has been a lack of updates on this front page. I'm usually the only one posting stuff here sadly, and I too easily forget to make a post on a first kill.
Hmm, where are we at? We've cleared 11/12 HC ICC10 and 9/12 HC ICC25 and we got several people their [Reins of the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher]. What a pain some of those achievements are! But hey, grats on your mounts. :)
Right now we're in a bit of a state. Patch 4.0.1 unbalanced the classes at level 80, and some people are not happy with their current performance. Can't blame them really, though it's quite annoying not to be able to raid due to not having enough people online. The Cataclysm is getting close, and a new expansion looming on the horizon always messes up the raiding where people get bored of farming raid instances. No doubt we're not the only guild facing this issue. We're eager to get going again though ... ah well, only 5 weeks to go! Maybe we'll go for 12/12 HC ICC10 in the coming weeks, gives us something to do. If you are a member reading this, please do sign up! We still want to raid!
EPGP ... Ginger has posted some news on some small changes we're making to the system, such as lowering the decay, and a glimpse of what we'll probably do with EPGP for Cataclysm. Make sure to check out his post on the forum.
And finally, I've updated the website. No, the layout didn't change, but we have a new forum which is faster and has more features. Your old posts have (mostly) been preserved, though I believe some serious pruning is needed ... so much outdated info.
The Crimson Hall defeated and progress in Frostwing Halls
Last Updated (Tuesday, 30 November 1999 01:00) Written by Shiari Sunday, 25 April 2010 23:27
Whee, tonight we cleared The Crimson Hall by finally killing Blood-Queen Lana'thel. After that we went onwards to Valithria Dreamwalker, and after healing her to ~98% on several attempts we managed to heal her to 100% just as she was about to hit enrage on our last attempt of the evening. Good progress everyone!
PS: Irene, apologies that you didn't make it to the Dreamwalker screenshot. Tell your master to get you out faster next time!
Plague Wing completed, Blood Prince Council down

We finally killed Putricide on 25 man! We also went on to have a few goes at Blood Prince Council, and killed them on the 3rd attempt. No screenshot of that kill though, sadly.
Took us a while on Putricide due to a lack of people, some having some unfortunate connection issues, but we persisted throughout several evenings of attempts and finally killed him.
Good job everyone!
ICC Progress

No, we're not dead or disbanded, even though our homepage hasn't been updated in a while. In fact, we're quite alive and busy!
Tonight we managed our first ICC10 Sindragosa kill, and we've had our first few attempts on the Lich King.
So, where are we up to now in ICC?
ICC25 (6/12): Plagueworks almost cleared, we're now up to Putricide, so we should kill him and move onwards to the Crimson Hall and the Frostwing Halls soon.
ICC10 (11/12 & 7/12): Just the Lich King left for one of our two ICC10 groups. The other ICC10 group has also been rapidly progressing, and have had their first night on the Blood Council now that they've also killed Putricide.
On a side note: Sadly we lost a number of players a while ago, and we're still somewhat struggling to get 25 man raids going due to sometimes being a few people short of a full raid. If you are a dedicated and mature WoW player with decent gear who is reading this and you're considering to join Equanimity, please register on this website and make an application (all the necessary info can be found through the menus on the left side).

Equanimity are a European Raiding Guild on the realm Aszune. We have been in existence for over 5 years and are one of the oldest and most respected guilds on the realm.
Our current focus is on 10 player raids, in particular heroic modes as soon as we can. We do not regularly raid non-progression content.
Required addons for raiding
Last Updated (Saturday, 25 April 2009 11:41) Written by Shiari Tuesday, 14 April 2009 13:43
To help all of us improve in our raids and to help the raid coordination it's imperative that you have the following addons installed. This applies to anyone who raids with us.
Leave them running all the time, they will not cause any issues if you do. These addons are designed to only be active in a (raid)group anyway, and that's the time that you need them. If you disable them during your normal play you cause a disruption during the raid when you have to relog to enable it. You make it harder on yourself and on us by disabling and enabling them all the time, and really: most of us always have them running, they do not cause any issues for us. Just install them and don't look back.
EPGP Loot System

EPGP LOOT SYSTEM (updated 3rd november 2010)
EPGP (short for Effort Points / Gear Points) is a system designed to fairly distribute loot based on participation levels in progression content. We used to use a DKP (Dragon Kill Points) zero-sum based system but decided to switch to EPGP when Ulduar was release. Note that the choice of the loot distribution system is never an easy one as there are various flavours out there each with their own benefits and drawbacks. We feel however that EPGP is a fair system, and it is very simple to use. Easy to use for the lootmaster and other officers, and easy for the players that like to get loot.
